The NWMC Homeless Mission Project 2018 Could Use Your Help.
What happens to all our plastic bags? Do they end up in landfills, along the roads, in our oceans? Time to do something useful with them. Bring your clean bags to NWMC and let the Conference Kids and families turn them into sleeping mats for the homeless. The homeless appreciate them because they are warm, bugs don’t like them, they dry out quickly, and are lightweight. It take A LOT of bags, so bring as many as you can collect from neighbors and church friends. We’ll need a lot of bags!!!
Also needed for the homeless:
- hotel toiletries
- toothpaste
- toothbrushes
- new light weight wash cloths
- boxes of band aids
- packages of safety pins
- new men’s socks
- new men’s underwear
- t-shirts
Drop plastic bags and other items at New Wilmington Presbyterian Church or at Anderson Auditorium (Westminster College) by Sunday evening, July 22.
