Critical Moments for Prayer in the Sudan
On January 9, the people of the south Sudan will vote on forming a separate country. After decades (even centuries) of abuse by the northern government, it is a foregone conclusion that the south will vote to form a new country. The consequences of such a vote are hugely unpredictable and fraught with danger. Please make this a matter of prayer in your weekly worship and in your daily prayers. Click here for suggestions for your prayers.

LeaderFest is Coming
January 15th from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM on the campus of Westminster College. Each week we will highlight a couple of the seminars being offered at the 2011 seminar. This week we will start with the two seminars designed to help you go deeper with Dr. Bailey’s keynote address. There will be a Q&A session after the keynote with Dr. Ken Bailey. His address will draw from his new study (in the press) about the divided nature of the Corinthian church and how the apostle Paul dealt with those divisions.
Also offered will be a seminar on First Corinthians from Dr. Kang-Yup Na, associate professor of religion at Westminster College entitled “The Corinthian Mirror”. His seminar will be looking at situations the church at Corinth faced and how these situations are not very different from situations that your church faces, and with a little introspection discover how we, too, can benefit from Paul’s teaching on the book of First Corinthians.
