The 43 churches of Shenango Presbytery are encouraged to think of themselves as “missionary communities, always in a missionary situation”. This assumes a wholistic view of mission that moves beyond geographical definitions.
Shenango Presbytery exists, in part, to be a resource to its congregations in their missionary vocation. In order to accomplish this purpose, the Mission Communication and Stewardship Committee provides Mission Connection Opportunities (validated PCUSA mission) which are chosen based on the needs and interests of our churches. They are designed to receive funds and personal involvement. The Mission Focus Projects involve congregations in mission that will be transformational for both the world and for our congregations.
