45 Pastors Attend Retreat
Ron Scates, pastor at 4,800-member Highland Park Presbyterian Church in Dallas led the pastors retreat last week. He reflected with us on keeping Sabbath, preaching and your anchor in the storm. Monday evening was spent discussing denominational issues and what questions need discussed about affiliating with the Fellowship of Presbyterians.
Spring Musical Celebration at 1st New Castle
First Presbyterian Church, New Castle’s spring musical celebration, “Come, Christians, Join to Sing” will be held Sunday, May 20 at 7 PM in the FPC sanctuary. The program will feature FPC’s Celebration Ringers, Celebration Singers, the Sheet & Tube Brass Quartet, soloist/pianist Luanne Goodrich, soloist Cindy Houston, percussionist James Kunselman, soloist Pastor Nathan Loudon, percussionist T.J. McMillin, celloist Jackie Pitman, interpretive signer Allison Rodgers, flutist Elizabeth Shewell,and clarinetist Geoff Wands. Steve Pridon is the director/organist. All donations benefit The City Rescue Mission of New Castle. Desserts and beverages following the program in Fellowship Hall.
