Boar’s Head and Yule Log Festival

Thou art invited to attend the 5th annual Boar’s Head and Yule Log Festival at First Presbyterian Church of Sharon, 600 East State Street, on Sunday afternoon, January 6, 2013 at 3:30 PM.  Admission is free.  A cookie and punch reception will be held after the performance.  Come and see the tradition, the pageantry, and hear the beautiful music!

LeaderFest is Coming Saturday, January 12, 2013!

Committee members, teachers, church leaders, ruling elders, deacons, and pastors – LeaderFest is for you! We’ll begin with registration and worship at 8:30 am in Orr Auditorium at Westminster College, followed by two sets of seminars, including seminars on music, Bible study with Rev. Dr. Ken Bailey, mission partnerships with Rev. Chris Weichman, and an Elder seminar with Rev. Ralph Hawkins. We close with lunch at 1pm. Cost is $12 if you register before January 7th. Registration is easy! Root International Collecting for Staten Island

Dear Friends,
Everyone is aware of Hurricane Sandy and the devastation it left behind.There is still work to be done. Root International will be sending two volunteers and a trailer load of requested items. We made contact with a church in Staten Island and they will be able to house our two volunteers. There are several churches working together and a person in charge of the volunteers.
We are aiming for Jan. 2nd. and we apologise for the short notice. This will be the first trip and we hope to go again later in the year.The following is a list of some of the items needed. If you have any of the following items to donate please call Ariel Thompson at 724-699-1182. Mercer is the drop off point. Thank you for your support and for caring.

                                   Industrial size cleaning supplies.

                                   work gloves
                                   work boots
                                   Heavy duty large trash bags
                                   New stocking caps & gloves
                                   dust masks
                                   new underwear for men, women & children

No clothes, toilet paper, or paper towels are needed at this time.
