A Few Reminders…
Pre- Presbytery Chicken and Biscuit Dinner
You are invited to join us for a chicken and biscuit dinner before the Presbytery meeting Tuesday November 17th at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Mercer. It will be a fun time to visit with church friends or just grab some nourishment if you are on a tight schedule. We will begin serving at 5:00 and end at 6:00 so there is time to eat and be ready for the Presbytery worship at 6:30. There will be a donation basket available and proceeds will go to Trinity’s missions. The church is located at 110 E. Market St. Mercer, PA 16137 (the third building east of the courthouse on Rt. 58). Parking is available behind the church and in a large parking lot, or around the Courthouse. Handicap parking is available. You may drop off folks in front of the church. We look forward to greeting you during this season of thanks giving.
Pastors: Look through your library and bring up to ONE box of books to give away or swap at the November 17th presbytery meeting at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Mercer. Don Stanley will be combing through the books during the first part of the meeting to find suitable items to donate to the Don McClure Bible School in Gambella, Ethiopia. During the pie break, you’ll have a chance to look through the remaining books to find treasures for your own library. A free swap, no strings attached! If you have special items that you would like to make sure make it to Ethiopia, please mark them accordingly for Don. A fun way to help our Ethiopian partners and one another…bring a book, share a book, take a book.
Sean Hall, pastor at Hillside PC and member of the Presbytery’s Evangelism Committee, will be on hand with a video camera Tuesday evening. He would like to capture your experiences with the “Bible in 90 Days” emphasis to be added to a video the committee will soon make available to churches and sessions. If you have a story to tell, please find Sean. If you have a story, but can’t attend the Presbytery meeting, you can contact Sean at 724-588-4920 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
