Don McClure Lectures at Pittsburgh Seminary

The annual McClure Lectures will feature Dr. Anne-Marie Kool, Professor of Missiology at Karoli Gaspar University of the Reformed Church in Budapest, Hungary.  You are invited to these free lectures entitled, “European Churches’ Perspectives on Mission Among the Roma People” September 24-25, 2012 at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.  Lectures at 11:30 AM, 4:30 PM, and 7:30 PM on the 24th.  The World Mission Initiative Dinner is at 6 PM.  To make dinner reservations ($12) and for more information, contact ConEd@pts.edu or 412-924-1345.

Tower Presbyterian Church hosts Harvest America Evangelistic Event

On August 26, 2012 at 6:00 PM, Tower Presbyterian Church (Grove City) will host a nationwide simulcast of the Harvest America Revival (www.harvestamerica.com).  They are looking for interested instrumentalists and vocalists for the pre-simulcast worship service, as well as ushers, greeters, and counselors who will speak with people who come forward to commit or recommit their lives to Christ at the conclusion of the event.  If you are interested in more information, contact Janice Good at Tower Church 724-458-7260.  Read more: harvestamericainsert  WHAT IS HARVEST AMERICA

Free Screening of 58: The Film at 1st New Castle

On Saturday, September 22 at 7:00 PM First Presbyterian Church in New Castle will host a screening of 58: The Film, a joint project of ten ministries including Compassion International, International Justice Mission, and World Relief.  58: The Film is inspired by God’s call in Isaiah for a true fast, one that ministers to the imprisoned, the hungry, the widow, and the homeless in their need…”it invites audiences to discover the incredible work of God through His people in our hurting world.”  The screening is free to all; a free will offering will be taken for Evangelical Fellowship International.  Prior to the film, the church will also host a community dinner.  For more info call the church office at 724-652-7706.  More info on the film is available at live58.org.

Special Worship Service

Mt. Hermon Presbyterian Church [3116 Frew Mill Road, New Castle] will host a Special Worship Service of Healing, Wholeness and Anointing on Sunday, August 2, 2012 at 3:00 pm.  Individuals from across the Presbytery, as well as, members and friends of ‘the Mount’ are invited and encouraged to participate.  The service will focus on the restoration of health and wellness through Word, song and anointing.  If you are dealing with pain, illness of body, mind or spirit, and suffering, plan to join with those who will gather in the ‘Fellowship of Christ’ to be anointed.  For additional information call Pastor Bob Loch at 330.559.7500, or the church at 724.924.2737 to leave a message.
