News from the Churches
Boar’s Head Festival at Christ Presbyterian Church
Join us for the 36th annual presentation of the Boar’s Head Festival on Saturday, November 28; Saturday, December 5; and Sunday, December 6. The Festival, a volunteer production, originated back in 1340 at Queens College, Oxford and brought to America where it was presented in colonial homes. The first known public appearance was at the Hoosac School in New York in 1888. A highly refined version of the ancient ceremony has been a tradition at Christ Church since 1980. Tickets are free – information, photos, and a ticket request form can be found at http://christpcellwoodcity.org/ChristPC/BH.html.
